Eating Green Means Nutrients and Vitamins
Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best sources of vitamins and nutrients. Cooking fruits and vegetables destroys some, if not all, of the vitamin and mineral content. Steaming is better for retaining nutrients than either frying or boiling.
Frying foods makes temperatures so hot that the heat destroys all or some nutrients. Boiling causes nutrients to get leached into the water, so it's ideal for making soups. Here at our nursery, we harvest our own homegrown kale, broccoli, tomatoes, lettuce, mangos, starfruit, and many other fresh produce items daily!
Eating fresh produce keeps us healthy and extra energized to keep our strength for our line of work! Stevenson Landscaping recommends that everyone eats fresh produce too. Check out our recipes by clicking the button below.
