COMMENTS Graceful, variegated, cold-hardy shrub. Needs full sun to part shade and well drained soil. Leaves are green with creamy-white variegation, which make this plant an excellent accent plant or hedge. Birds eat the seeds and spread them. Seeds are also spread by surface water. This plant can have pest problems. Variegated sections may revert to full green over time, and if not pruned back to their variegation, may turn that entire section all green. Aggressive, vigorous growth can be high maintenance. Considered invasive.
