COMMENTS One of the most used palms in Brevard County. Reaches maturity from seed in 5 to 7 years. When grown in soil with a pH over 7, the tree may develop magnesium or potassium deficiency with symptoms of chlorotic or spotted fronds. Mostly resistant to disease and pests. Improper care could lead to leaf spot and/or bud rot. When in bloom, the flowers are fall all over the ground below the tree. Originates from Southeast Asia. |
