SOIL TYPE Well drained. Intolerant of soggy soil.
WATER REQUIREMENTS Water after planting in ground, and water once per week for a month to establish. Afterwards, does not require watering. Small potted plants need water once per week, and large potted plants need it once every 2 weeks. Soil must be thoroughly dry before the next water application. Reduce watering in the Winter when growth slows.

FERTILIZING Fertilize only twice a year with a slow-release granular fertilizer. Does not like excessive fertilizer. Do not allow fertilizer to clump, be sure to disperse evenly. Clumped fertilizer can potentially burn roots, potentially harming or killing a plant.
